Current Projects

Each year the DGERC is involved with a number of local projects. Some are large, such as our Bugs in Gardens project, whilst others are small pieces of work often undertaken in collaboration with other local organisations. Here you will find information about current and previous projects, results of findings and links to any further information about the project on partner's websites.

The Dumfries and Galloway Riparian Invasive Non-native Species (INNS) is a partnership project which aims to tackle the spread of Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam and Giant Hogweed on a river catchment scale across the Rivers Nith and Annan to reduce their extent and impact on the local environment. DGERC are helping to collate records of these species.
