Why not come and help record wildlife around Colvend and Dalbeattie Forest as part of Dumfries and Galloway’s first BioBlitz? A BioBlitz is a wildlife recording event when experienced experts and beginners come together to help to record as many of the species found in a particular area as possible - all in a single day! Its a great opportunity to learn a little more about Dumfries and Galloway's fantastic wildlife.
BioBlitz begins...
Saturday 8th August 9pm-11pm
Come along on a walk with the Dumfries and Galloway Bat Group and DGERC staff to identify and record nocturnal species found in the area.

BioBlitz continues...
Sunday 9th August 9am-5pm
Join local experts who will be taking groups around the area throughout the day to identify and record as many species as they can. Or just come along, go for a walk and tell us about the plants and animals that you see.
